Apparently, children learn via repetition…as demonstrated in this video of Destini at about 2 1/2 years old. Let me start by saying, Destini had an unusually good grasp of language at a very young age. I have video of her using full, complete sentences, at fourteen months old. By two, she was speaking very fluently. She really is only about two and a half here….
She had gotten one of those story books that come with a cassette tape for Christmas. She’d listened to so many times, while reading the book, that she memorized it word for word. A portion of it is here…and seriously, amazing. Remember…she’s 2 1/2 years old and can’t actually read a single word. This is all memorization. Sorry…the video is a bit low quality…but just crank up the volume and enjoy!
