The Backwoods

Where we teeter between our love of modern convenience and the yearning for something long past; a world where neighbors knew your name and a “Friend Request” was eye contact and a smile.

Just Another Scenic Sunday 8-11-13

Apparently we only have Sundays about once a month this summer…either that or I’ve just been TOO BUSY TO SIT AT THE COMPUTER! Probably, it’s the latter. But here’s a glimpse of the past few weeks.

Wow! Just found you on Facebook through a friend that lives in Arizona. Small world! I took photos of that bizarre circle in the snow too! Did you ever find out what it was from? Great blog and photos!

WOW that is so neat! I never seen a truck like that! I love it. Your pics are so beautiful!

The colour of a Bison/Buffalo calf is just so pretty, and the wool that is shed is softer/finer than might be thought when you look at it on that huge beast. We have a small herd at our Zoo and there is a wee packet of wool on our touch table along with some alpaca wool for comparison people are always surprised. Another set of fabulous photos! Thanks Keri.
